Veteran investor and partner at Charles River Ventures, Bill Tai is producing the Extreme Tech Challenge that will be offering a great opportunity for new companies with game-changing ideas. Managing to combine the entrepreneurial community, Consumer Electronic Show and Sir Richard Branson, the Extreme Tech Challenge is poised to give valuable resources and visibility to scale a new product in addition to guidance from iconic entrepreneurs. After 10 groups selected to present at CES, the top 3 finalists are chosen and then invited to to Sir Richard Branson’s Nectar Island. There, the finalists will pitch their big idea to a great judge panel including Lars Rasmussen (Facebook), Young Sohn (Samsung), Felix Baumgartner (extreme sport athlete), Gary Shapiro (CEA), and Sir Richard himself.

In between his investments as an angel and partner at Charles River Ventures, Bill Tai is also a competitive kitesurfer. He co-founded MaiTai Global with Suzi Mai, a non-profit kite camp for entrepreneurs, innovators and athletes that takes frequent trips to some of the most beautiful places in the world.
