Mobile Ticketing with MogoTix

May 6, 2010 | Robert Scoble

Let’s face it, a paper ticket to an event doesn’t do a whole lot except get you in the door. But imagine a virtual ticket sent to your mobile device that helps your friends find you in a crowd, or acts as a business card so you can network. The same bar code that gets validated at the door could be used to share information or even make purchases at the event (the organizers have your credit card details after all).

Scott Thorpe, founder of FynSpire, is thinking a lot about the future of virtual ticketing.  His mobile ticketing platform, MogoTix, is braced for a future where the image on your handheld device can really bridge the gap between the online and offline world.  In this interview he discusses where ticketing is headed in the age of Twitter.
