Regator blends technology and human expertise to find good blog content

March 18, 2010 | Robert Scoble

It’s cool to always feel like you are “in the know” when it comes to current events.  You can scour through people on Twitter to follow and hope they always keep you updated or you can just type in the subjects you want to follow in Regator.

Atlanta-based startup Regator makes the search for up-to-date blog content easier.  According to Regator founder Scott Lockhart, Regator is a “ready to wear feed reader for the best content in over 500 categories”.  Simply go to Regator and type in the subject you would like to learn about.  It’s search engine pulls content from blogs vetted by subject matter experts and also utilizes Regator’s algorithms to pull up current conversations about that subject in near real-time.

Since cutting edge news often breaks on blogs first, don’t be surprised if you know the who, what, when, where and why of a story before your non-techy friends hear anything about it.

Founders Scott Lockhart and Chris Turner explain more about Regator here.
