Click&Pledge is an on-demand software system, in the Software as a Service, or SaaS, category, that offers a low-cost hosted service targeting such groups as nonprofit organizations, political campaigns and universities that need help with online fundraising.
“Our emphasis is on services, (the) exchange of services,” says Kamran Razvan, CEO of Click&Pledge in this interview with Robert Scoble, adding, “We don’t do much in retail.”
Razvan claims 9,000 customers, which Click&Pledge’s web site says are scattered through 45 countries.
While he has competitors, the market is large and growing, says Razvan, because, “The concept of currency – money – and credit is changing . . . Of course, money is an obsolete method of credit, anyway.
He predicts in his conversation with Scoble that checks, hard currency and credit cards all will be abandoned in favor of some form of electronic transfer of payments.
